CTP Pest & Building Inspections are seeking experienced and qualified inspectors to join its growing business. Successful applications will need to utilise their pest and building inspection experience to conduct pre-purchase and new home PCI Handover inspections, both residential and commercial sectors. Roles are based throughout the CTP service area including Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens, and the Central Coast.

Job Type

Roles are available in both full time and part time capacities. Hours 7am-4pm, Mon-Fri (infrequent weekend work & out of hours work required to meet the demands of the role)

Job Responsibilities

Pre-purchase pest and building inspections (both residential and commercial)
New building PCI inspections
Methamphetamine inspections
Completing detailed reports utilising CTP software system
Identifying building defects, timber pest defects, maintenance-related defects, major and minor structural defects and safety hazards
Deliver inspection report and results to clients and communication professionally
Agree & can uphold CTP Inspection VALUES
Produce reports detailing inspection findings
Administrative tasks where required to support the role and company requirements
Communicate with clients via various platforms including email, phone, face to face.
Contribute to content for social media publications
Further education and self-development to support the role
Attend team meetings as directed by Management

Required Skills/Qualifications

Construction based trade qualifications or similar, licensed builder or carpenter preferred,
Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction (a certificate IV Building & Construction would be ideal)
White card
Have building and pest inspection qualifications including Timber Pests or willing to complete
Knowledge of current Australian building acts, codes, regulations and standards
Attention to detail and strong work ethic
Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders
Driver licence with clean record and reliable car
Current police check
Intermediate level computer literacy
Competent in plan reading
Organised and able to meet deadlines
